Assistant PGA Professional - Craig Jackman
Craig has been the Assistant Professional at Crail since 2020, after turning professional in 2019 at the age of 19. He has played golf all his life, taking lessons since he was 3 years old. Playing most of his junior golf at Dunblane New Golf Club, he competed in county and national events from the age of 13.
Craig has a passion for coaching and the game of golf in general. He particularly enjoys constraints based coaching and finds this extremely popular within all groups of golfers, especially junior coaching sessions.
He still enjoys competing when possible, and can often be found after a work shift on either of the courses at Crail. He enjoys Balcomie Links for the variety of shots required and the traditional layout. Craig enjoys Craighead Links when preparing for a tournament, as it calls for a lot of strategy and discipline to score well.
Craig's favourite course that he has played is Tralee Golf Links on the west coast of Ireland. His dream four ball would be Seve Ballestros, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.
Craig's favourite shot to hit on the course is a driver off the deck, which he can hit from a wide range of positions on the course.
